Intersectional Feminisms: Many Identities, One Movement In-Person / Online

Join Dr. Jane Caputi of the Center for Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Florida Atlantic University, for a discussion on intersectional feminism. This event will be held both in-person and virtually. A reception will follow the presentation

Dr. Caputi will explain intersectional feminist theory, exploring its evolution from 19th-century Black feminist thought through today. Dr. Caputi will share examples of intersectional activism and discuss the current battle over Black, Queer, and Feminist studies in states like Florida. Learn more about intersectionality and learn more about Dr. Caputi.

This event will take place in the Paul J. Gutman Library's Media Classroom - located on the ground floor of the library.
