Gentelligence®: Leveraging Generational Diversity for Workplace Teaching and Learning Success Online
Instructor: Megan Gerhardt, PhD
In today's workforce, spanning five generations, differences can often seem like a barrier. However, the Gentelligence® approach provides a new lens—seeing generational diversity as a powerful tool for growth, innovation, and success. Originally developed by Megan Gerhardt and featured in Harvard Business Review and The Washington Post, Gentelligence® moves beyond stereotypes, helping organizations harness generational diversity as a key asset in teaching and learning environments. Whether you're a clinician or educator in any workplace where mentorship, teaching, or learning occurs, this session will equip you with strategies to leverage the strengths of all generations.
At the end of this session, participants should be able to:
- Reframe generational differences as a form of diversity that enriches teaching and learning in the clinical or workplace environment.
- Identify and address common barriers to intergenerational collaboration in educational and professional settings.
- Apply the four key practices of Gentelligence® to enhance workplace teaching, learning, and mentorship.
- Implement strategies for fostering intergenerational dialogue that improves teamwork, communication, and innovation in clinical teaching and other workplace contexts.
