The Neurodiverse Student Experience Online
Instructor: Wendy Ross, MD
Many students come to college with neurodiversity like autism or ADHD. Often, they do not disclose these during the admissions process, leaving them alone to overcome the challenges they may face. This session will help elucidate neurodiversity and help educators better identify these challenges and support students during their college experience.
At the end of this session, participants should be able to:
-
To define neurodiversity and its impact on the student university experience.
-
To identify students who struggle with components of neurodiversity.
-
To articulate strategies to support student success in the university setting.
